HERAT, Afghanistan — Three people were killed and six others injured in a traffic accident in Rabat-e Sangi district of Herat province on Wednesday evening, according to a Taliban official.
Abdulrahim Rahmani, Taliban deputy district governor in Robat-e Sangi, said the accident occurred when a private Toyota Corolla collided with a transit truck parked on the side of the Herat-Torghundi highway.
The Toyota Corolla was traveling from Robat-e Sangi district to Gulran district at the time of the crash.
The injured have been transported to the provincial hospital for treatment.
