The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has awarded the hosting rights for the 2025 DP World Men’s U19 Asia Cup to the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), announcing the tournament will take place in the United Arab Emirates from Dec. 12‑21, 2025.

The U19 Asia Cup has long been a key development platform for young cricketers across Asia, offering emerging talents their first opportunity to compete on an international stage.

ACC President Mohsin Naqvi praised the agreement, saying, “We are confident that ACB will deliver an exceptional event that celebrates excellence, unity and the future of Asian cricket.”

ACB Chairman Mirwais Ashraf called the decision “a proud and historic moment for Afghanistan cricket,” adding that hosting the tournament demonstrates the board’s growing stature in Asia and its commitment to nurturing the next generation of Afghan players.

Organizers say matches will be played at two premier Dubai venues: the ICC Academy Oval and the Sevens Stadium. The tournament format will split participating teams into two groups, with group leaders advancing to the semifinals and subsequent final.

The decision to give Afghanistan hosting rights marks a milestone for the ACB and underlines the country’s emergence as a rising cricket nation in Asia. Further details on broadcasting, media accreditations and ticketing will be announced jointly by the ACB and ACC.
