Ibrahim Zadran struck a composed 95 and Rashid Khan claimed a five-wicket haul as Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 81 runs in the second one-day international on Saturday, sealing the three-match series with a 2-0 lead.
Afghanistan were bowled out for 190 in 44.5 overs after electing to bat. Zadran held the innings together with a patient 95 off 140 deliveries, hitting three fours and a six, as wickets fell around him. Mohammad Nabi and Allah Ghazanfar each contributed 22, but no other Afghan batter reached 15.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz was Bangladesh’s most effective bowler, taking 3-42. Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rishad Hossain picked up two wickets apiece, keeping Afghanistan to a modest total with tight spells.
Bangladesh’s chase unraveled quickly, with the side dismissed for 109 in 28.3 overs. Rashid ripped through the middle and lower order, finishing with figures of 5-17 from 8.3 overs. Azmatullah Omarzai provided key early breakthroughs, taking 3-27 in seven overs, while Nangeyalia Kharote added one wicket.

Tawhid Hridoy (24) and Saif Hassan (22) offered brief resistance, but Bangladesh collapsed from 79-5 to 109 all out, losing their final five wickets for just 30 runs.
