Taliban has distributed a list of 68 approved individuals to local media outlets, instructing them to invite these figures to participate in political programs, sources familiar with the matter say.

This move comes alongside a recent ban on the live broadcast of political content in Afghanistan’s domestic media.

According to information obtained by Amu TV, the list includes two women, as well as figures such as Hashim Alokozay, Jafar Mahdawi, Saeed Khosti, and Nazar Mohammad Motmaeen.

The decision to regulate media content follows the Taliban’s directive banning live political programming, a restriction that was introduced last week.

Sources confirmed that in a meeting with Taliban representatives on Saturday, Sept. 21, they agreed to suspend live broadcasts of political shows for one week.

Under the arrangement, political programs must now be pre-recorded before airing, sources said.

Sources have also confirmed that the Taliban’s intelligence services provided a list of preferred experts and commentators to media organizations, urging them to avoid inviting critics of the regime.
