Head of Afghanistan’s Cycling Federation suspended

The International Cycling Union (UCI) has suspended Fazl Ahmad Fazli, the chairman of Afghanistan’s Cycling Federation.

The UCI cited misuse of authority and sending threatening and offensive messages to several Afghan cyclists as the reasons for the suspension.

According to a UCI statement, Fazli has been banned from all activities related to cycling for 15 months.

Fazli has not yet commented on the UCI’s decision or the allegations against him.
