Flash floods kill two people in Kapisa

KABUL, Afghanistan — Flash floods in Kapisa Province have resulted in the deaths of two individuals, according to Abdul Fattah Faiz, a spokesperson for the Taliban’s provincial police command.

The floods occurred early Monday, affecting parts of the Nijrab and Alasay districts.

The Taliban-led Provincial Disaster Management Authority in Kapisa also reported that one person is missing following the recent floods.

The authority noted that the floods have destroyed 35 homes, devastated dozens of acres of farmland, and killed numerous livestock.

Early Monday, several provinces across the country experienced destructive flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall, causing significant loss of life and extensive property damage.
