The Afghan national futsal team has traveled to Morocco to play two friendly matches against the Moroccan national team.
The matches are scheduled for July 10 and July 13, hosted by Morocco. These games are part of Afghanistan’s preparation for the Futsal World Cup.
Majid Mortazavi, head coach of Afghanistan’s national futsal team, said, “Many of the world’s top teams have played in this arena, including Argentina, Italy, and Portugal. All of them have been defeated by Morocco in this venue. This arena is very similar to the World Cup venues, and these matches will closely resemble our game against Argentina.”
The Afghan team held their first training session in Rabat, Morocco’s capital, on Wednesday.
Mohammad Nasir Sadaqat, manager of Afghanistan’s national futsal team, stated, “These matches will definitely have a positive impact on the team’s morale and readiness for the World Cup.”
The friendly matches, aimed at preparing both teams for the Futsal World Cup, will be held without spectators.
