BANGKOK — Afghanistan’s national futsal team tied with Malaysia, 3-3, in their opening match of the NSDF Futsal Championships 2024 in Thailand.
Reza Husainpur opened the scoring for Afghanistan in the 10th minute, followed by Mehran Gholami, who netted goals in the 19th and 39th minutes. Malaysia responded with goals from Mohammad Oluddin in the 30th and 40th minutes, and Ahmad Haris Naeem in the 34th minute.
Afghanistan is set to face Australia and Thailand in its upcoming matches at the championships next week.
