Afghanistan clinched second place, following host country Iran, at the fourth Eurasia Championship in Tehran.
The championship, which began on Jan. 23, saw Afghanistan represented by 12 athletes competing in various martial arts disciplines, including Super Sabaki. The Afghan team secured nine gold, four silver, and five bronze medals in Super Sabaki, earning them the runner-up position in the event.
Participants in the competitions included teams from Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Germany, Syria, Iraq, Tajikistan, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.
Iran emerged as the champion, with Afghanistan taking second place and Pakistan finishing third in the overall competition.
