A planned visit by Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi to Pakistan has been postponed because of “technical issues related to travel exemptions,” sources told Amu on Sunday.
Muttaqi had been scheduled to travel to Islamabad on Monday, August 4, at the head of a Taliban delegation, but the trip will not take place on the planned date, the sources said.
Muttaqi’s name is on the UN Security Council’s sanctions list.
Taliban have not commented publicly on the delay.
