Qatar is set to host another round of meetings on Afghanistan later this week, with working groups focused on counter-narcotics and private sector development convening as part of the ongoing Doha process, according to two Western diplomats familiar with the preparations.
The meetings, scheduled for June 30 and July 1, follow the third round of the Doha talks held earlier this year and will include participation by Taliban representatives, the diplomats said. The Taliban have not officially confirmed their attendance, but sources say their delegation is expected.
