The Taliban-led embassy in Tehran has urged Afghan migrants in Iran to avoid discussions and activities related to sensitive political and security issues.
In a statement titled “Warning and Guidance,” the embassy advised Afghan citizens to steer clear of military facilities, refrain from discussing political or religious matters in public, and avoid engaging with sensitive topics online.
The advisory emphasized that such actions could lead to misunderstandings or even arrest by Iranian authorities.
The embassy further warned migrants not to participate in demonstrations and to avoid political discourse in public spaces such as subways, markets, and taxis. It encouraged them to follow developments only through “official and reliable sources.”
“Respecting the laws and guidelines of the host country is essential for the personal safety of Afghan migrants,” the statement read.
Iran is home to millions of Afghan nationals, many of whom face increasing scrutiny amid heightened regional tensions. The embassy said the advisory was intended to mitigate risks and safeguard the welfare of Afghans residing in Iran.
