KABUL — Afghanistan’s national futsal team suffered a 3-1 defeat to Portugal in its opening match of the four-nation tournament currently underway in Morocco.
Mahdi Nawruzi scored the lone goal for Afghanistan in what marked the team’s first appearance in the competition.
The tournament features national teams from Afghanistan, China, Portugal, and host nation Morocco.
