Two killed in separate armed incidents in Uruzgan

Two men were killed in separate incidents in Uruzgan Province on Monday, according to local sources and officials from the Taliban’s police command.

In the first case, an individual identified as Nematullah was fatally shot by unidentified gunmen in the Jaghli Road area of Tarinkot, the provincial capital. The assailants fled the scene following the shooting, officials said.

The Taliban’s police command in Uruzgan confirmed the incident and stated that two suspects had been arrested in connection with the killing. Authorities described the motive as related to a “personal dispute,” and said the suspects would be handed over to judicial institutions after the investigation concludes.

In a separate incident the same day in Khas Uruzgan district, a man was killed by another local resident following a physical altercation, according to local sources. The victim and the alleged attacker were reportedly from the same village, but no further details have been released.

The Taliban’s police command said investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
