KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghanistan’s national beach soccer team departed for Thailand on Monday to compete in the 2025 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, the country’s football federation announced.
In a statement, the Afghanistan Football Federation said the team will also hold a training camp ahead of the tournament.
Afghanistan has been placed in Group C, where it will face Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Indonesia in the group stage.
The tournament is set to begin on March 20 in Thailand.
