A man suspected of involvement in the deaths of his two brothers and the wounding of his sister-in-law was arrested in the Baak district of Khost province, local sources told Amu on Thursday.
The incident, described as “mysterious,” occurred on Wednesday night.
Tahir Ahrar, a spokesman for the Taliban’s provincial security department, confirmed the arrest of the suspect within hours of the deaths. According to preliminary investigations, Ahrar said, the suspect is believed to be a drug addict.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the deaths and the injury to the sister-in-law remain unclear, as authorities continue their investigation.
No further information has been released about a possible motive or the condition of the injured woman.
