Afghanistan to face Zimbabwe in second Test match Thursday

Afghanistan’s cricket team will face Zimbabwe in the second match of their Test series on Thursday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. Kabul time. The game will take place at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

The first match of the series ended in a draw, with both teams displaying remarkable batting performances. Zimbabwe set an imposing total of 586 runs in their first innings, but Afghanistan responded with a formidable effort, highlighted by standout performances from Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi.

Shah scored an impressive 234 runs off 434 balls, while Shahidi contributed 246 runs off 474 deliveries, marking double centuries for both players. Afsar Zazai added to Afghanistan’s strong showing with a knock of 113 runs off 169 balls.

Despite the high-scoring innings, the match concluded without a winner. Persistent rain delays disrupted play, and the cautious pace of both teams slowed the match’s progress.
