Seven dead in traffic accidents in Helmand, Bamiyan

At least seven people, including women and children, were killed in two separate traffic accidents in the provinces of Helmand and Bamiyan, according to local Taliban officials.

The first incident occurred on Sunday in Helmand’s Babaji district, where a Toyota vehicle veered off the road and overturned into a river, killing six people, local Taliban officials said.

In a separate incident, Taliban officials in Bamiyan reported a crash in Yakawolang district. One person died, and another was injured, according to a statement from the provincial press department.

The injured driver in the Bamiyan accident is under investigation, Taliban said.
