Traffic accident on Kabul-Herat Highway leaves two dead

A traffic accident on the Kabul-Herat highway has left two people dead and two others injured, according to Taliban’s police command in Ghazni province.

The crash occurred in the Ab Band district of Ghazni, where two motorcycles collided with two passenger vehicles, Taliban authorities said.

This incident is part of a broader rise in traffic-related fatalities across Afghanistan. Data gathered by Amu TV indicates that in the past three months, more than 200 people have died and nearly 300 have been injured in traffic accidents nationwide.

According to Taliban traffic officials, the majority of these accidents are caused by driver negligence and excessive speed. The recent data reflects a notable increase in casualties from traffic incidents, underscoring growing concerns over road safety in the country.
