Two sources in Panjshir province confirmed that a local resident, identified as Enayatullah, was arrested by the Taliban at his home in the village of Larband in the Dara district on Wednesday.
According to the sources, Enayatullah was taken into custody by Taliban intelligence and transported to an “undisclosed location”.
The arrest follows a Friday evening explosion in Panjshir, after which the Taliban reportedly detained at least 10 civilians in the area.
Among those detained is a school principal, according to sources.
Taliban have yet to comment on these detentions.
