Clashes broke out Sunday morning between Taliban and Pakistani border guards in Kandahar’s Shorabak district, according to local sources.
The fighting occurred near the Durand Line, in the Noshak and Guznal areas of Shorabak, after Pakistani forces reportedly objected to the Taliban’s attempt to establish a security outpost.
According to sources, Pakistani border guards opened fire on Taliban forces who were attempting to construct the checkpoint.
There are no confirmed reports of casualties yet, and the Taliban have not issued any official comment on the incident.
