As deportations continue, 190 families were repatriated to Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan on Sunday, Sept. 29.

According to Taliban-run news agency, BNA, 32 families were deported by Pakistan on the same day while 86 others either returned from Iran or were deported from the neighboring country.

Pakistan started deporting undocumented Afghan immigrants last year in October. So far, it has deported over 600,000 Afghan immigrants.

In Iran, Afghan immigrants have reported that the situation has turned dire for them over the past month, leading to mass deportations or voluntary returns over harsh conditions there.
