Use of Afghanistan’s soil for terrorist acts in Pakistan well established, Baloch says

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, said the use of Afghanistan’s soil for terrorist acts in Pakistan is well established.

Addressing a press conference, Baloch said Islamabad has expressed its concerns on the issue multiple times, including during bilateral negotiations with Taliban officials.

“Pakistan has shared concrete evidence of the involvement of individuals based in Afghanistan in terrorist incidents inside Pakistan,” Baloch said.

She claimed that the presence of terror groups, including the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), in Afghanistan has been confirmed by multiple independent reports, including those from the United Nations.

“We expect the Afghan authorities to take concrete and robust action against these terror groups and prevent their activities that endanger Pakistan’s security,” Baloch stated.

Pakistan has repeatedly accused the Taliban of supporting the TTP, but the Taliban have called it Pakistan’s internal issue.
