Afghan Taekwondo athlete defeats Cuban rival in Paris Paralympics

Zakia Khudadadi, an Afghan taekwondo athlete competing as part of the Refugee Paralympic Team, secured a significant victory at the Paris Paralympic Games by defeating her Cuban opponent.

Khudadadi faced Lisbeth Rivero of Cuba, winning the match with a score of 21-11.

Despite this strong start, Khudadadi was defeated in her second bout by an opponent from Uzbekistan.

She, however, rebounded in her third match, achieving a 9-1 victory over Nurjahan Ikinci.

Khudadadi is set to compete again soon, facing a Moroccan athlete in her bid for a bronze medal.
