Pakistan reacts to Modi’s remarks, calling them ‘belligerent’

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry has condemned remarks made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing them as “belligerent.” Modi stated on Friday that Pakistan is trying to stay relevant through “terrorism and proxy war,” but its “unholy plans” will never succeed.

In response, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry issued a statement asserting that “bravado and jingoism” undermine regional peace and are counterproductive to resolving long-standing disputes between the two neighboring countries. The ministry also accused India of conducting a “campaign of orchestrating targeted assassinations, subversion, and terrorism in foreign territories.”

Modi’s comments were made during an event marking the 25th anniversary of India’s brief military conflict with Pakistan in the Himalayan region of Kargil.
