Taliban burns musical instruments in Sar-e-Pul

The Taliban’s department of vice and virtue in the northern province of Sar-e-Pul burned nearly 100 musical instruments, according to a Taliban statement.

The statement said the instruments were collected from wedding halls, hotels, restaurants, and residences over the past year.

Following their seizing power, Taliban declared a ban on listening to and playing music.

Since then, hundreds of musical instruments have been destroyed by the Taliban.
