US reveals names of three Americans held by Taliban: Report

Quoting a U.S. State Department official, Washington Examiner reported that three American citizens currently held in Taliban custody include George Glezmann, Mahmood Habibi and Ryan Corbett.

Taliban claims to be holding only two American citizens, according to the report.

Senior U.S. officials, including members of the Senate Committee and House of Representatives, have called for the release of these American citizens from Taliban custody.

Recently, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said
he discussed the fate of the American prisoners with the U.S. delegation during a two-day meeting in Doha from June 30 to July 1.

The U.S. delegation was led by special envoys Thomas West Rina Amiri who met with the Taliban on the sidelines of the Doha meeting.
