Indonesian President Joko Widodo, in a statement during the dispatch of the aid, expressed hope that this humanitarian assistance would alleviate some of the burdens faced by the victims of these disasters. “We hope this aid will ease the suffering of those affected by natural disasters in Afghanistan,” he said.
