The Afghanistan national U-20 football team lost its opening match in the U-20 Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) competition, falling 4-0 to Kyrgyzstan.
The match took place in Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyzstan. Afghanistan struggled throughout the game and ultimately suffered a decisive defeat.
The U-20 CAFA competition features teams from Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Afghanistan is set to play its next match against Tajikistan.
