The family of Hasibullah, a Kabul resident, reported that he was shot dead on Wednesday in the Breshna Kot area of Kabul.
Hasibullah had returned to Afghanistan from Iran one and a half months ago, his relatives said.
A local source in Kabul stated that the Taliban attempted to arrest Hasibullah, but he resisted. “The Taliban shot him,” the source said.
His relatives emphasized that Hasibullah did not have a military background and had no affiliations with groups opposing the Taliban.
The Taliban have yet to comment on the incident.
