India faced early setbacks, losing opener Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant during the power play. However, Virat Kohli’s half-century and Axar Patel’s 47 off 31 balls helped India set a target of 176-7.
Hardik Pandya led the Indian bowling attack, taking 3 wickets for 20 runs in three overs. Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh each took two wickets for 20 runs in their four overs.
The match took place at Kensington Oval in Barbados. The 2024 T20 World Cup journey concluded with India’s victory after a series of thrilling matches. Afghanistan, having reached the semifinals, fell short against South Africa.
