Seven members of a family were killed in a landslide in Samkanai district of Paktia province in the east of the country, according to local Taliban officials.
The Taliban-run national television reported that the incident occurred late Sunday in the province.
Local Taliban officials in Paktia said the victims included two women and five children.
This comes amid a series of natural disasters in Afghanistan in recent months, including floods, earthquakes, and landslides, which have claimed many lives and caused extensive damage.
