A tragic traffic collision in the Sholgara district of Balkh province left five people dead and five others injured, according to Mohammad Essa Waseeq, the Taliban spokesman for Balkh’s Department of Security.
The accident occurred on Friday afternoon in the Hassan Ali area of Sholgara.
Waseeq attributed the collision to the high speed of the two cars involved.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, he said.
