Speaking ahead of the match, Afghanistan’s goalkeeper Mohammad Jawad Safari expressed confidence in the team's preparation.
The match was officially called off at 8:45 a.m. on the fifth morning.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Ibrahim Zadran, two key players, will miss the series due to injuries, according to a statement.
The toss has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. local time on Friday.
Led by head coach Majid Mortezaei, the team will head into the tournament with 14 selected players.
