An outpost of Taliban members was attacked by the national resistance front (NRF) forces in the central province of Kapisa on Sunday night, two sources aware of the matter said.
The attack happened shortly after midnight in Ghafarkhil village in Hese Dowom-e-Kohistan district of Kapisa, the sources said.
Local residents who spoke with Amu TV also confirmed the incident.
According to a key NRF member, three Taliban members were killed and five more were wounded in the attack.
Taliban did not comment on the attack, which is the fourth of its kind happening in Kapisa.
This comes after a week of heavy battles between the Taliban and the NRF forces in Panjshir province, which is in the neighborhood of Kapisa.
On June 17, the NRF forces claimed to have downed a military helicopter of the Taliban in Panjshir province, taking into their custody four of those on board the chopper, including a pilot of the former Afghan army.
The NRF also released photos and videos showing the helicopter and those arrested following the incident.
