Pakistan’s interior minister arrives in Kabul for talks with Taliban officials

Pakistan’s interior minister, Mohsin Naqvi, arrived in Kabul on Sunday afternoon for a high-level visit in which he will hold talks with Taliban interior minister Sirajuddin Haqqani.

Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan, announced the visit in a post on X.

The two are likely to discuss regional security, border management, and cross-border migration, though specific agenda items have not been publicly disclosed.

The visit comes days after Pakistan’s foreign minister, Ishaq Dar, led a delegation to Kabul for a trilateral dialogue involving officials from Taliban, Pakistan and China. That meeting focused on regional cooperation and counterterrorism efforts amid growing concerns about militant activity along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
