Kabul, Afghanistan — Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister, arrived in Kabul on Saturday morning for his first official visit to Afghanistan in his current role.
Dar is leading a high-level Pakistani delegation during the trip.
Dar is leading a high-level delegation that includes Pakistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Sadiq Khan; the prime minister’s special assistant, Tariq Bajwa; and senior officials from the ministries of commerce, railways and interior, according to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visit marks the first time Dar has traveled to Afghanistan since assuming the post of foreign minister earlier this year.
Further details about the delegation’s agenda and official meetings in Kabul have not yet been released.
