Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team defeated Afghanistan by 13 runs in the second match of a tri-nation One Day International (ODI) series on Wednesday, hosted by the United Arab Emirates.
After opting to bowl first, Afghanistan restricted Pakistan to 244 runs in 49.4 overs. However, Afghanistan’s batting lineup fell short in the chase, managing only 231 runs before being bowled out.
Afghanistan’s strong start in the series
Despite this loss, Afghanistan had started the series strong, defeating Pakistan by a commanding 100-run margin in their opening match last week.
The team also secured a decisive victory over the UAE in their second match, winning by 169 runs.
The tri-series continues as all three teams vie for supremacy in this competitive youth tournament.
