FARYAB, Afghanistan — Two residents were killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen in the northern province of Faryab, according to local sources.
A letter from the Taliban’s police command in Chaharkint District, obtained by Amu, confirmed that the victims were members of the same family from the village of Ashab al-Kahf in Chaharkint.
Sources reported that another family member was injured in the incident.
The motive for the attack remains unclear.
