At least three wounded in blast in west of Kabul

At least three people were wounded in an explosion in the west of Kabul on Saturday evening. The blast happens three days after a suicide bombing outside Russian embassy in Kabul that killed at least six people, including two employees of the embassy.

A Taliban spokesman Khalid Zadran said that the explosives were placed on a bicycle which was carried by a ccar.

The blast happened in Kabul’s District 18, he said.

A list seen by Amu shows that at least six people have been wounded in the explosion who have been admitted at Ali Jinah Hospital in the west of Kabul.

Sources from the area said that at least two blasts happened with a distance of 30 minutes in the area on Saturday evening, but the Taliban confirmed only one of them.

No group so far has claimed responsibility for the blast.

This comes days after a Taliban convoy was targeted by a car bomb explosion in the north of Kabul on August 31, killing at least three people.

Another suicide bombing in Herat in the west of Afghanistan last week killed a pro-Taliban cleric Mujib Rahman Ansari and 18 others.
